The Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce and Lëtz Art asbl have signed a collaboration agreement aimed at strengthening entrepreneurial inclusiveness in Luxembourg, in particular through the "TRICOT" project, which now pursues part of the objectives of the former non-profit organisation, Touchpoints. This project aims to raise awareness between one hundred and two hundred people a year, among foreign audiences initially further away from the local entrepreneurial culture. This strategic partnership aims to support potential entrepreneurs from various migration paths. In particular, beneficiaries of international protection, but also foreigners further away from local professional practices, can benefit from the tools and support adapted to create and develop their business in the Grand Duchy. It should be noted that the Chamber of Commerce, through its House of Entrepreneurship, already provides a very concrete response to European and international entrepreneurs, by deploying a flexible range of services in several languages, ranging from regulatory information to in-depth support programs for business creators. It also connects entrepreneurs to useful actors and resources within the ecosystem when establishing foreign companies on Luxembourg soil. In 2023 alone, the House of Entrepreneurship carried out 477 regulatory consultations related to the various aspects of the implementation of an entrepreneurial project (right of establishment, immigration, financial plan, etc.) by non-nationals of the European Union.
A strategic partnership for inclusive entrepreneurship
As part of this collaboration, the Chamber of Commerce, through its House of Entrepreneurship, will support Lëtz Art by integrating it into its network of public partners. This support will allow the non-profit organisation to organise several practical workshops and consultative sessions to support about 20 to 25 migrant entrepreneurs over a year. These workshops will take place on the premises of the House of Entrepreneurship and will aim to strengthen the administrative, digital, financial and commercial skills of the participants.
"This collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce and its House of Entrepreneurship allows us to expand our field of action and to meet the specific needs of migrant entrepreneurs, who play an essential role in the economic diversity of Luxembourg," underlines Mr. Uyi Nosa-Odia, leader of the TRICOT project for Lëtz Art.
Joint actions for a tangible impact
Among the flagship actions planned by the House of Entrepreneurship this fall, as part of the convention, are the organisation of inclusive pitch sessions, each session illustrating in a rotating way a different theme (entrepreneurship of young people, women, refugees, etc.), as well as the collective and individual reception of project leaders by public actors to support business creators, called "Meet the Community". So many formats in which Lëtz Art will participate on a regular basis, in order to highlight the contribution of migratory entrepreneurship in Luxembourg and to meet foreign entrepreneurs.
Stéphanie Damgé, Director of the House of Entrepreneurship adds: "This initiative fits perfectly with our mission of supporting entrepreneurship at all levels. By collaborating with Lëtz Art, we ensure that our service offer meets the needs of a diverse entrepreneurial population. "
A common vision for economic development
This collaboration is part of a broader vision of the Chamber of Commerce aimed at promoting the economic development of Luxembourg by encouraging inclusive entrepreneurship. "In supporting initiatives such as TRICOT, we affirm our commitment to promoting a dynamic and inclusive economy, where every entrepreneur, regardless of his background, can find his place," says Carlo Thelen, Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce.
The TRICOT project, with the expertise of Lëtz Art and the institutional support of the Chamber of Commerce, is a concrete response to the challenges faced by migrant entrepreneurs. By pooling their resources, the two organisations are committed to creating an environment conducive to the emergence of new companies, thus contributing to the economic prosperity of Luxembourg.
The "TRICOT" project, an innovative initiative carried out by LëtzArt and dedicated to integration and cultural diversity in Luxembourg, aims to strengthen the skills of beneficiaries of international protection and third-country nationals by forging strong links between entrepreneurship and social initiatives. With targeted activities to develop the capacities of participants from disadvantaged backgrounds, "TRICOT" allows the realization of promising local projects. Since its creation in 2019, LëtzArt has supported major events such as ArtManif 2020 and the 2022 Friendship Festival, and continues to engage the community in impactful projects.
