TRICOT and SNCI Bring Practical Financing Discussions to Luxembourg’s Diverse Entrepreneurial Community

Last Thursday, the latest edition of the TRICOT Business Meet Up by Lëtz Art brought together entrepreneurs, project developers, SME owners and aspiring business creators for an engaging discussion around the new zero percent “Competitiveness and Sustainability Loan” (PCP) introduced by SNCI.

The session was moderated and led by Uyi Nosa-Odia, director of Lëtz Art, with Céline Cappelli and Augustin Bascuas joining as guest representatives from SNCI to present the financing programme and answer participants’ questions.

Hosted at Odum Afro Fusion, the event welcomed a highly diverse audience representing numerous nationalities, professional backgrounds and cultures across Luxembourg. More than 40% of participants already operate businesses, while many others are currently preparing to launch projects of their own.

One revealing moment came when the SNCI representatives asked how many people already knew about their organisation before attending the session. Fewer than four hands were raised in the room. The moment highlighted how many entrepreneurs, especially newcomers, self financed creators and people from underrepresented backgrounds, remain unaware of important public financing opportunities available in Luxembourg.

The PCP loan scheme itself generated significant interest, especially regarding eligibility, sustainability requirements, the role of banks, and how entrepreneurs can better prepare projects before seeking financing. Participants also discussed the importance of support structures such as the House of Entrepreneurship, TRICOT workshops and private business consultants in helping transform ideas into structured and bankable projects.

As always, networking continued long after the formal session, accompanied by a specially prepared West African street food inspired buffet by Odum Afro Fusion.

The evening once again demonstrated the growing role of TRICOT as a space connecting institutions, entrepreneurs and Luxembourg’s richly diverse communities through practical discussions, networking and shared experiences.

The TRICOT Project is financially supported by the Ministry of Economy and Oeuvre Nationale de Secours Grande Duchesse Charlotte.

It is implemented in collaboration with the House of Entrepreneurship (Chamber of Commerce).
