TRICOT Successfully Completes Its Seventh Entrepreneurship Workshop

The TRICOT Project has successfully concluded its seventh entrepreneurship workshop since its launch in September 2024, representing another significant milestone in its ongoing mission to promote entrepreneurship, economic participation, and social integration in Luxembourg. This edition of the workshop welcomed participants referred through an increasingly diverse network of partners and support organisations. Participants were directed to the programme by municipal social offices and integration centres, the House of Entrepreneurship, ADEM, former TRICOT participants, online searches, and community organisations. Notably, this workshop also marked the beginning of a new cooperation with SABI asbl, that enables the association to refer its members to TRICOT activities while also creating opportunities for joint information sessions and other initiatives aimed at supporting entrepreneurship, integration and economic participation among their beneficiaries.

Bringing together participants from different professional backgrounds, the three-day workshop delivered comprehensive guidance on business creation, project development, and self-employment opportunities. Participants engaged with key topics, including business planning, administrative procedures, financing options, marketing strategies, and the broader support ecosystem available to entrepreneurs in Luxembourg.

Beyond its role as a training programme, TRICOT continues to function as a platform for integration through entrepreneurship. By fostering connections between newcomers and long-term residents, as well as public institutions, financial service providers, business experts, and fellow entrepreneurs, the project enables participants to develop both the knowledge and professional networks essential for successful economic participation.

This latest edition featured contributions from the House of Entrepreneurship, POST Finance and Microlux, which presented their administrative and support services and financing solutions tailored to entrepreneurs and small businesses. These partnerships reflect the expanding network of organisations collaborating with TRICOT to ensure that participants have access to practical resources, professional expertise, and opportunities extending beyond the workshop itself.

As the project continues to expand, a growing number of organisations are joining the initiative. Through collaboration with institutions, experts, financial partners, and support structures, TRICOT assists participants in gaining a deeper understanding of Luxembourg’s entrepreneurial landscape while fostering meaningful connections that support integration into the country’s economic and social environment.

Since September 2024, approximately 80 participants have taken part in the workshop programme, with many benefiting from additional consultations, coaching sessions, and referrals to specialised services. The project has also facilitated valuable exchanges among entrepreneurs from diverse communities, encouraging collaboration, mutual support, and the sharing of experiences.

The continued success of TRICOT demonstrates that entrepreneurship can serve as a powerful instrument for integration, empowerment, and community development. By combining practical business support with access to professional networks and institutional resources, the project enables participants to transform ideas into tangible opportunities while strengthening their engagement within Luxembourgish society.

We offer our sincere appreciation to all participants, speakers, collaborating organisations and sponsors whose contributions continue to support the growth and success of the TRICOT Project. Special thanks go to the Luxembourg Ministry of the Economy and the Œuvre Nationale de Secours Grande Duchesse Charlotte for their financial support, which has enabled the project to deliver workshops, consultations, networking opportunities and practical resources to those who need it the most.
